Financial Aid Process

Step One

Apply for a Personal Identification Number (PIN) (click here)

A PIN is your electronic signature. If you apply for financial aid online, you must have your PIN in order to sign your application. If you do not already have a PIN, click on the link above to go to the PIN website and apply for a PIN today!

Step Two

Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) (click here)

The FAFSA may be completed online or with your financial aid administrator. In order to complete the application, you will need to gather last year’s tax documents. Click on the link above to complete the FAFSA online.

Step Three

If interested in federal student loans – Complete Loan Entrance Counseling at mapping your future (click here).  If you are considering federal student loans to help pay for educational costs, you will need to complete Loan Entrance Counseling. Be sure to print a copy for your reference when you have completed the session.

Step Four

If interested in federal student loans, you will also need to complete a Master Promissory Note (MPN). Click here to go to the Direct Loan Master Promissory Note website.

In order to receive federal student loans, you must complete a MPN. This is a contract you sign whereby you are promising to repay your student loan debt. In addition, you will be provided with your rights and responsibilities regarding student loans. Please be prepared to provide two references with different addresses from each other.

Step Five

Accept your Award Letter

Call today and schedule an appointment to speak with an Admissions Associate. During the admissions process, you will meet with a Financial Aid Specialist to discuss financial aid eligibility and payment options. Please contact an Admissions Associate to find out what documents are recommended to bring with you to your appointment.
