You may consider taking out a private loan to pay for educational costs, to pay for a remaining account balance, or to receive additional funds to help pay for living expenses while you are attending school. Please be aware that the interest rate on a private loan is normally determined by the borrower’s and/or co-borrower’s credit worthiness. Attaining a credit worthy co-borrower can help lower your interest rate. In addition, we encourage private loan borrowers to be aware of their rights and responsibilities and to budget for repayment obligations.
